What You'll Learn
Our hands-on program is designed to build confidence while developing the skills needed to provide safe, compassionate, and professional grooming services.
Students receive instruction in:
Dog behavior and body language
Building trust with nervous or anxious pets
Safe handling and restraint techniques
Bathing and drying procedures
Brushing and coat maintenance
Nail trimming and paw care
Ear cleaning and hygiene
Basic clipping and scissor work
Breed-specific grooming fundamentals

Our Philosophy
A beautiful haircut means very little if the dog leaves frightened or stressed. We teach our students to slow down, earn trust, and create positive experiences that make future grooming appointments easier for both pets and their families. Every lesson is built around one simple principle: Treat every dog as if it were your own.

Students train in a real working environment under experienced guidance, gaining practical knowledge through observation and supervised hands-on experience.
We emphasize professionalism, responsibility, and continuous learning while helping students develop the confidence to work safely and compassionately with dogs of all breeds and temperaments.
Program Length, Tuition & Graduation
The Jennz Petz Dog Grooming Academy is a comprehensive 440-hour program designed to prepare students for a successful career in professional dog grooming.
The curriculum includes:
400 hours of hands-on dog grooming instruction and practical experience
40 hours focused on customer intake, customer relations, and professional communication
Our goal is to ensure every graduate leaves with not only exceptional grooming skills, but also the confidence and professionalism needed to build lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
The complete program is offered for $6,500 and is designed to prepare students with both the knowledge and the tools they need to begin their careers immediately upon graduation.
Upon successful completion of the program, every graduate will receive:

📝 A personalized Letter of Recommendation
🏡 Assistance finding a grooming shop close to home, whenever possible, to help make the transition into the profession as smooth as possible
